Israel\u2019s use of indiscriminate weapons in Gaza\u2019s densely populated areas has had devastating consequences for Palestinians and despite the growing famine caused by Israeli blockade of humanitarian aid, Israel\u2019s military continues to kill people trying to access food at aid distribution sites.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

TODAY (7\/30\/25) the Senate will vote on two Joint Resolutions of Disapproval introduced by Sen. Bernie Sanders (S.J.Res.34<\/a> and S.J.Res.41<\/a>) that would block over half a billion dollars in U.S. weapons shipments to Israel, including 1,000lb bombs and automatic assault rifles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

By stopping these arms sales, Congress would send a clear message that only diplomacy \u2013 not more weapons \u2013 is the way to achieve a peaceful settlement to the violence in Gaza, the West Bank, and across the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
