Rev. Peter Bongond\u00e9, 68, was born on July 17, 1956, in Brazzaville, Republic of Congo, and passed away on February 25, 2025, in Brazzaville. He was a dedicated soldier following his Commander, Jesus Christ, and served for 30 years at l’Eglise des Disciples du Christ au Congo, Brazzaville (EDCC), since its inception. He devoted 22 years of his life as a pastor and 10 years as an instructor at the International School of Evangelization.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rev. Bongond\u00e9 studied at the International School of Evangelization in Kinshasa and at the Protestant University of Brazzaville, where he earned a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Theology. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Throughout his time at the EDCC, he faithfully held various positions, including Head of the Department of Youth, Senior Pastor in three local churches, and Supervising Pastor of the Brazzaville Ecclesiastical Post on two occasions. Additionally, he served as the Deputy Secretary General and Alternate Legal Representative.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The EDCC is profoundly grateful for Rev. Peter Bongond\u00e9’s life and ministry. We praise and glorify God for his unwavering pursuit of excellence and commitment to service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rev. Bongond\u00e9 is survived by his wife, Mrs. Marie Jeanne Bongond\u00e9, their seven children, grandchildren, and numerous other family members.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The celebration of Rev. Peter Bongond\u00e9’s life was held on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at 12:30 p.m., followed by his burial.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
