Following the events in Syria<\/a> starting Thursday, March 6, the following statement was issued by Bishop Hanna Jallouf, the Apostolic Vicarate of the Latin Rite Churches in Syria.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bishop Hanna Jallouf, Head of the Latin Rite Churches in Syria, reaffirms the Vicariate\u2019s support for the Syrian nation in its efforts to combat those who seek to harm the country and destabilize it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bishop Jallouf emphasizes the unity of Syrian territory and the necessity of the state\u2019s sovereignty over all its lands, firmly rejecting any attempts to divide the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Together, hand in hand, with all components of the Syrian people, across all sects, we can rebuild our nation anew.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alongside all our faithful, we pray for a just and comprehensive peace for every region, especially for our beloved Syria.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
