Valencia Letter, 1987.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Merciful God of the poor, we thank you for the virtue of your Holy Spirit, the Consoler, who accompanies us and fills us with courage, who teaches us and reminds us of all things, which drives us amid harsh realities, to bear witness to the risen Christ, and to proclaim, with historical force, peace with justice and hope in solidarity for the suffering world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>We pray for Venezuela. We can cover it with beautiful and fragrant shoots of productivity and solidarity hope. AMEN<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Mission Moment from Venezuela<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The missionary stewardship of UEPV has its starting point in the experience of the Holy Spirit.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"alignright size-full is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.globalministries.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/Venezuela-UEPV-Pentecost-3.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-51198\" width=\"232\" height=\"264\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.globalministries.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/Venezuela-UEPV-Pentecost-3.jpg 313w, https:\/\/www.globalministries.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/Venezuela-UEPV-Pentecost-3-264x300.jpg 264w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 232px) 100vw, 232px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p>The Holy Spirit is the one who gives all the inspiration to the prophets. The Holy Spirit has been poured out on the Church, impelling it towards a true prophetic task. The Holy Spirit commits and drives us to collaborate with God in his Mission. The Mission is not ours. It is God&#8217;s Mission. God has a redemptive, liberating plan for the entire inhabited world. We collaborate in God&#8217;s redemptive and liberating Plan for His saving purpose. In that sense, our Pentecostal preaching and practice have been close to the experience of that first Christian community. UEPV, like our fellow brothers and sisters from the first century, devoted ourselves to the apostles&#8217; teaching and fellowship, the breaking of bread, and the prayers.&#8221; (Acts 2:42, NRSV). That experience has clear social implications for how the Gospel is lived and testified worldwide. Our witness has three primary practices:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Pentecostal Houses for Peace\/Food Houses<\/strong> in the UEPV. Our motto is: &#8220;In each house, a popular community meal for children and the elderly suffering from food emergencies in the Church and community.&#8221;<br><br>We humbly and selflessly promote the sharing of food through community family tables. We serve our meals out of family efforts. At the same time, we transform our tables into educational spaces. By sharing the food, we also recover the Kingdom of God&#8217;s values, which is necessary for our current situation. As a result of this project, and with the support of Global Ministries, we feed our communities with prayers and reflections about love, justice, solidarity, and mutual cooperation.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>The Sanctuaries of Peace and the Community Pots for Peace<\/strong><br>The churches must share at least one monthly &#8220;community pot,&#8221; sharing food rations with families and people in extreme need to keep alive the hope of solidarity towards the families of the Church with the greatest vulnerability.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>The socio-productive Churches of the UEPV, under the motto &#8220;All Pentecostal hands to the sowing.&#8221;<\/strong><br>From a socio-productive perspective, UEPV oriented a theological and pastoral formation for a new ecclesiology in the UEPV for the socioeconomic development of the Church and families and communities. The Ecological Pastoral course taught at the Venezuelan Center for Theological Studies (CEVET) has made churches in rural and peasant areas dedicate time to planting in the churchyard. In addition, the initiative should include children as protagonists of that sowing, and we are reaching out to family backyards.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"alignright size-full is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.globalministries.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/Venezuela-UEPV-Pentecost-4.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-51199\" width=\"347\" height=\"228\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.globalministries.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/Venezuela-UEPV-Pentecost-4.jpg 474w, https:\/\/www.globalministries.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/Venezuela-UEPV-Pentecost-4-300x197.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 347px) 100vw, 347px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p>Other programs that reflect UEPV&#8217;s stewardship of sharing, serving the tables, and sowing are the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Pastoral for Health and Wholeness. Integral health promoters and promoters in each Church<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Wayuu indigenous Pentecostal spirituality<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Women&#8217;s Pastoral. Community of Pentecostal women doing theology<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sociotheological formation-Integral formation. A Sociotheological Training School (EFS) in each Church. Theological and secular education formation, providing titles like Bachelor&#8217;s, Master&#8217;s, and Doctoral degrees through joint ventures with Venezuelan universities.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Black pastoral and against all discrimination<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>We share what we receive from the Holy Spirit. Pentecost is, after all, a profound spiritual experience that conducts us to a renewed way of being the Church. Let us live the anointing of the Spirit by sharing our gifts in communion with God and our neighbor. Let us return to the original roots of the Spirit, flowing from our hearts and our souls to our tables, overcoming hunger and misery. El Esp\u00edritu Santo ha sido derramado sobre la Iglesia, impuls\u00e1ndola hacia una verdadera tarea prof\u00e9tica. El Esp\u00edritu Santo nos compromete y nos impulsa para ser colaboradores y colaboradoras de Dios en su Misi\u00f3n. La Misi\u00f3n no es nuestra, es la Misi\u00f3n de Dios. Dios tiene un plan redentor, liberador, para todo el mundo habitado. (Hechos 2:42, NRSV). Esa experiencia tiene claras implicaciones sociales sobre c\u00f3mo el Evangelio es vivido y testificado en todo el mundo. Nuestro testimonio tiene tres pr\u00e1cticas principales:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol type=\"1\">\n<li><strong>Las Casas Pentecostales por la Paz\/Casas de Alimentaci\u00f3n en la UEPV. <\/strong>Lema: \u201c<em>En cada casa una comida popular comunitaria para ni\u00f1ez y tercera edad que est\u00e1n en emergencia alimentaria en Iglesia y comunidad\u201d<\/em><br><br>Compartimos de forma humilde y desprendida los alimentos que conseguimos desde nuestros esfuerzos familiares.&nbsp; Al mismo tiempo, logramos la recuperaci\u00f3n de los valores del Reino de Dios, afirmando aquellos valores del Reino de Dios tan necesarios en nuestra situaci\u00f3n actual.&nbsp; A ra\u00edz de este proyecto, y con el apoyo de Ministerios Globales Disc\u00edpulos\/UCC de USA y Canad\u00e1, alimentamos a nuestras comunidades con amor, Justicia, solidaridad, y cooperaci\u00f3n mutua.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Los Santuarios de Paz y las Ollas Comunitarias por la Paz<\/strong><br>Las iglesias deben compartir al menos una raci\u00f3n alimentaria mensualmente con familias y personas que se encuentran en extrema necesidad, con el objetivo de mantener viva la esperanza solidaria hacia las familias de la Iglesia con mayor vulnerabilidad.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Las Iglesias socio- productivas de la UEPV, bajo el lema \u201cTodas las manos pentecostales a la siembra\u201d<\/strong><br>La UEPV orient\u00f3 una formaci\u00f3n teol\u00f3gica y pastoral para una nueva eclesiolog\u00eda en la UEPV, de perspectiva socio productiva, para el desarrollo socioecon\u00f3mico tanto de la iglesia como de las familias y las comunidades. El curso Pastoral Ecol\u00f3gica que se imparte en el CEVET ha logrado que las iglesias que est\u00e1n en zonas rurales y campesinas se comprometan a hacer que sus miembros, incluso la ni\u00f1ez, dediquen un tiempo a la siembra en el patio de la iglesia. Lo mismo en los patios de la casa familiar.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Otros programas que reflejan la corresponsabilidad de compartir, servir las mesas y sembrar de la UEPV son los siguientes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Pastoral de la Salud y la Integralidad. Promotores y promotoras de salud integral en cada Iglesia.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Espiritualidad ind\u00edgena wayuu pentecostal.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Pastoral de la Mujer. Comunidad de mujeres pentecostales haciendo teolog\u00eda.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Formaci\u00f3n socioteol\u00f3gica-Formaci\u00f3n integral. Una Escuela de Formaci\u00f3n Socioteol\u00f3gica (EFS) en cada Iglesia. Formaci\u00f3n en educaci\u00f3n teol\u00f3gica y laica, brindando t\u00edtulos como Licenciatura, Maestr\u00eda y Doctorado a trav\u00e9s de convenios con universidades venezolanas.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Pastoral negra y contra toda discriminaci\u00f3n.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Compartimos lo que recibimos del Esp\u00edritu Santo. Pentecost\u00e9s es, al fin y al cabo, una profunda experiencia espiritual que nos conduce a un modo renovado de ser Iglesia. Vivamos la unci\u00f3n del Esp\u00edritu compartiendo nuestros dones en comuni\u00f3n con Dios y con el pr\u00f3jimo.
