{"id":31580,"date":"2014-12-30T13:56:16","date_gmt":"2014-12-30T18:56:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.globalministries.org\/donor_stories_democratic_republic_of_congo\/"},"modified":"2014-12-30T13:56:16","modified_gmt":"2014-12-30T18:56:16","slug":"donor_stories_democratic_republic_of_congo","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.globalministries.org\/donor_stories_democratic_republic_of_congo\/","title":{"rendered":"South Side Christian Church, Kokomo, Indiana"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>South Side Christian Church in Kokomo, Indiana, began a Capital Campaign to pay for a new heating and cooling system for their church.\u00a0 The Capital Fund Committee agreed that they needed to tithe from the capital campaign resources toward a global mission of the committee\u2019s choice.\u00a0 Because the Indiana Region has an active partnership with the Mbandaka District of the Community of Disciples of Christ in Congo (CDCC), the committee unanimously decided that the Mbandaka District should be the recipient of the tithe of capital funds.\u00a0 The first amount of $790.00 was sent in to Global Ministries and designated for the women\u2019s micro-credit program in the Mbandaka District and for musical instruments.\u00a0 Reverend Rebecca S. M.
