\nMarshall Islands (Jarin Rarik Dron), passed away last week.\u00a0 The Church in Marshall Islands and Micronesia
\nlost lovely friend, faithful colleague
\nand excellent church leader in Marshall Islands and Micronesia region.\u00a0 He has made his great contribution in the ecumenical
\nchurch family worldwide.\u00a0 He was very
\nhighly respected throughout his community and among churches worldwide.\u00a0 The church is truly fortunate to have such
\nGod reliable servant as a model in our time.\u00a0
\nThe Republic of the Marshall Island\u2019s Flag is flown at half-mast for 7
\ndays.<\/p>\n A condolence letter to Mrs. Dina Samson, wife of Rev. Jude Samson,
\nsigned by Rev. Geoffrey
\n Black, General Minister and President, Rev. Dr. James Moos, Co-Executive, Global Ministries,
\nExecutive Minister, WCM, Rev. Karen Thompson, Minister for Ecumenical and
\nInterfaith Relations and Rev. Dr. Xiaoling Zhu, Area Executive for East Asia
\nand the Pacific.<\/p>\n The letter says, <\/p>\n \u201cWe would like to express our
\nsincere condolences on the recent passing of your husband, Rev. Jude Samson. We
\nwish we had the words to comfort and sustain you in your grief, but we know that it
\nis hard to take away any pain you are feeling now.\u00a0 Even the distance made us to be there with
\nyou and your family and the Jarin Rarik Dron impossible, but our hearts,
\nthoughts and prayers to you and your family and the church at this difficult
\ntime.\u00a0 <\/p>\n \n\u201cThe Apostle Paul once said, “Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to
\nbe uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like
\nthe rest of mankind, who have no hope. For we believe that Jesus died and rose
\nagain and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen
\nasleep in him.” (1 Thessalonians 4)\u00a0\n<\/p>\n The
