Cuando nos acercamos a los Evangelios, nos encontramos con Jes\u00fas, que nos modela nuevos estilos y formas de cuidar y acompa\u00f1ar a la gente y sus comunidades. Aprendemos a como \u00e9l caminaba entre los necesitados, les miraba, les tocaba, les escuchaba y les trataba con dignidad, amor y actos de justicia. Es desde esta perspectiva que Ministerios Globales\u00a0 ha llegado y acompa\u00f1ado al pueblo paraguayo. Valorando su gente, respetando su historia y costumbres, y ofreci\u00e9ndole apoyo de manera integrar, sirviendo y asesorando profesionalmente seg\u00fan sus necesidades.<\/p>\n

\"\"Paraguay, es un pueblo biling\u00fce donde se habla el espa\u00f1ol y el guaran\u00ed, adem\u00e1s de otros 19 dialectos, siendo el principal de ellos el guaran\u00ed.\u00a0 Este pueblo, con una gran poblaci\u00f3n de Ind\u00edgenas y campesinos nos ha dado Dios el privilegio de llegar para acompa\u00f1arles, bendecirles y a su vez ser bendecidos por ellos. En el Chaco Paraguayo hay muchas comunidades Ind\u00edgenas y de manera particular las mujeres han sido beneficiadas y transformadas por la bendici\u00f3n de haber podido llegar a sus comunidades. Se lograron establecer cinco Centros Comunitarios para las Mujeres Ind\u00edgenas donde ellas se re\u00fanen para confeccionar sus artesan\u00edas, realizar sus diversas actividades, conversar asuntos importantes entre ellas\u00a0 y dar el sabio consejo a las m\u00e1s j\u00f3venes. Se han establecido en sus casas sistemas de recogido de agua de lluvia en cisternas, ya que son tierras \u00e1ridas y de aguas saladas. A las mujeres se les ha ense\u00f1ado la Crianza de Ovejas, que es m\u00e1s f\u00e1cil su crianza y de ellas toman la lana, la leche y la carne para el sost\u00e9n diario de la familia. Adem\u00e1s de ense\u00f1arles a cultivar la tierra con el desarrollo de huertos caseros como la batata, el mam\u00f3n (Papaya) y frutos menores. En adici\u00f3n se contin\u00faan probando semillas que se puedan desarrollar en esas tierras y que puedan tolerar los cambios clim\u00e1ticos del Chaco.<\/p>\n

Se capacita a las mujeres para que puedan unirse y crear grupos tales como el\u00a0 Encuentro de \u201cLideresas\u201d con el nombre de \u201cJuntas Buscando un Camino\u201d donde se les hizo entrega formalmente del documento de la \u201cPersoner\u00eda Jur\u00eddica\u201d.\u00a0 Esta personer\u00eda jur\u00eddica es muy importante para ellas porque la misma les da la oportunidad de buscar apoyos, beneficios y facilita todo tipo de tr\u00e1mite para la comunidad y las familias ante las instituciones gubernamentales y otras.\u00a0 Realmente ha sido una experiencia excelente, ver y compartir con el liderazgo de las mujeres ind\u00edgenas; de c\u00f3mo en medio de tantas dificultades y necesidades ellas echan hacia adelante a toda la comunidad.<\/p>\n

\"\"Son muchos los retos que enfrentan tales como la salud de la ni\u00f1ez y los ancianos. Por lo que sigue siendo un reto el llevar atenci\u00f3n m\u00e9dica y medicinas a estas comunidades. Oramos para que podamos continuar llegando a estas comunidades con servicios m\u00e9dicos y continuar supliendo los adiestramientos necesarios para la crianza de animales y el cultivo de las tierras para su sostenimiento.<\/p>\n

Damos gracias a Dios que nos ha permitido llegar al Chaco Paraguayo, y que hay mucha gente como ustedes que hacen posible que este proyecto contin\u00fae siendo efectivo, bendiciendo a nuestra gente Ind\u00edgena.\u00a0 Gracias por ser parte del mismo y por continuar ayud\u00e1ndonos a llegar a otros Ind\u00edgenas que necesitan de nuestro acompa\u00f1amiento, apoyo y asesoramiento. Dios continua activo en este pueblo y nos utiliza a todos para ser instrumento de bendici\u00f3n.<\/p>\n

When we read the Gospels carefully, we can find Jesus, teaching us about new styles and ways of caring for and accompanying people and their communities. We learn how he walked among the needy, looked at them, touched them, listened to them, and treated them with dignity, love, and acts of justice. It is from this perspective that Global Ministries has arrived and accompanied the Paraguayan people. Valuing its people, respecting their history and customs, and offering support in a way that integrates, serves and advises proficiently according to their needs.<\/p>\n

Paraguay is a bilingual country.\u00a0 People speak Spanish and Guaran\u00ed, as well as 19 other dialects.\u00a0 This country that has a large population of native people and peasants has given us the privilege of arriving to accompany them, bless them, and in turn be blessed by them. In the Paraguayan Chaco, there are many Indigenous communities and, in particular, women that have been benefited and transformed by the blessing of having been able to reach their communities. They managed to establish five Community Centers for Indigenous Women where they meet to make their crafts, carry out their various activities, discuss essential issues among them, and give wise advice to the youngest. They have established harvesting systems for rainwater in cisterns in their homes since their lands are arid and their waters too salty for consumption. The women have been taught the breeding of sheep, which is easier to raise and to take the wool, milk, and meat for the daily support of their families. Also, they learned to cultivate the land with the development of home gardens such as sweet potatoes, papayas, and smaller fruits. Also, they continue testing seeds that can be developed in these lands and that can tolerate climate changes in the Chaco.<\/p>\n

Women are trained to join and create groups such as the Meeting of “Lideresas<\/em>” (\u201cLeaders\u201d) with the name of “Juntas Buscando un Camino<\/em>” (\u201cTogether seeking the way\u201d). They received the title deeds of their lands or \u201cpersoner\u00eda jur\u00eddica.\u201d This legal status is significant for them because it gives them the opportunity to seek support, benefits, and facilitates all kinds of procedures for the community and families before governmental institutions and others. It has indeed been an excellent\u00a0experience, seeing and sharing with the leadership of indigenous women; how, in the midst of so many difficulties and needs, they throw the whole community forward.<\/p>\n

Many challenges need to be addressed, such as the health of children and the elderly. So it remains a challenge to bring medical care and medicines to these communities. We pray that we can continue to reach these communities with medical services and keep supplying the necessary training for raising animals and cultivating the land for their support.<\/p>\n

We give thanks to God who has allowed us to reach the Paraguayan Chaco, and that many people like you make it possible for this project to continue to be effective, blessing our Indigenous people. Thank you for being part of it and for staying to help us reach other Indigenous people who need our accompaniment, support and advice. God continues to be active in this community, and uses us all to be an instrument of blessing.<\/p>\n
