We are always amazed at how quickly time goes by, and by looking back at my collaboration in El Salvador, I realize that everything has revolved around peacebuilding. A drop of water, a grain of sand, and a desire for collective construction!<\/p>\n

\"\"The Emmanuel Baptist College (CBE) is an educational ministry of the Emmanuel Baptist Church. It has 38 years serving the community with Christian principles and the Culture of Peace. The Peacemakers group encourages activities for coexistence and enables them to participate in the resolution and transformation of conflicts, through the modality of peers (students), within the educational community. This year he won at the national level, the Contest of the Third Edition of the Ibero-American Prize, for his Education in Human Rights and Culture of Peace, by the Organization of Ibero-American States.<\/p>\n

\"\"This educational ministry carried out with deep love and commitment, challenged me to generate a process called REFLEPAZ (Reflection for Peace), based on the values \u200b\u200bof the Kingdom of God. Thus, we organize a pedagogical material that contains concepts, dynamics, one theme per month, the biblical-theological reflection, from which the Parent Schools are organized, providing a biblical-theological foundation that involves reflection processes and different practices in families.<\/p>\n

The REFLEPAZ generated a motivational attitude in the parents to be able to establish practical activities of coexistence among them, sharing with their children, teachers, solidarity with those who need and raise awareness of the work carried out by the work teams of the College.<\/p>\n

\"\"Why educate for peace? There may be many answers, and in all of them the hope of living in harmony will be present, that we all have the same opportunities, that we can live together safely, that we reach a dignified life and that the entire creation is protected, as if it depends on our Life and the future of generations. Educating for the care of creation is a task for peace; we are becoming more convinced of this reality. We educate not only for the reasonable use of common goods, such as water, for example, to appreciate that ineffable gift of Sister Water, but also the defense of it, it is the daily struggle of many communities, where women and men are they add to protect their territory, their river, their mountain, their forests. The Continental Christian Network for Peace, to which the Emmanuel Baptist Church participates, has considered vital importance for research and education for peace, to understand why this economy of dispossession is destroying communities, territories, and people. What is the task of our churches in these situations? How do we understand the stewardship of creation, in times of crisis? The conflicts we live today because of the depredation of common goods demand from us, a search, and peacebuilding. Accompanying vulnerable groups is a daily requirement; we also need to be trained to do it in the best way. Educating for peace, also goes through the formation of leaders, as in the Pastoral Missionary School, where we will be addressing the Ecological Pastoral, goes through preaching, biblical studies, and accompaniment to other efforts of churches, organizations and movements, where the prophetic voice of a church that testifies to Jesus is present.<\/p>\n

The experiences lived in El Salvador show us that the daily struggles of the people continue to yearn with faith and hope, the different colors and smells of peace, a peace with justice. Amen!<\/p>\n

Una gota de paz en medio de una realidad de violencia<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"\"Siempre nos causa asombro la rapidez con la que pasa el tiempo, y haciendo una mirada retrospectiva de mi colaboraci\u00f3n en El Salvador, me doy cuenta de que todo ha girado alrededor de la construcci\u00f3n de la paz.\u00a0 Una gota, un granito de arena, un deseo de construcci\u00f3n colectiva!\u00a0<\/p>\n

El Colegio Bautista Emmanuel (CBE) es un ministerio educativo de la Iglesia Bautista Emmanuel, tiene 38 a\u00f1os sirviendo a la comunidad con los principios cristianos y la Cultura de Paz.\u00a0 El grupo de Hacedores de Paz,\u00a0 animan actividades para la convivencia, y capacitan para participar en\u00a0 la resoluci\u00f3n y transformaci\u00f3n de conflictos, a trav\u00e9s de la modalidad de pares (estudiantes), dentro de la comunidad educativa. Este a\u00f1o gan\u00f3 a nivel nacional, el Certamen de la Tercera Edici\u00f3n del Premio Iberoamericano, por su\u00a0 de Educaci\u00f3n en Derechos Humanos y Cultura de Paz, por parte de la Organizaci\u00f3n de Estados Iberoamericanos.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Este ministerio educativo realizado con profundo amor y compromiso, me desafi\u00f3 a generar un proceso llamado REFLEPAZ (Reflexi\u00f3n por la Paz), a partir de los valores del Reino de Dios.\u00a0 Es as\u00ed que organizamos un material pedag\u00f3gico que contiene conceptos, din\u00e1mica, un tema por mes, la reflexi\u00f3n b\u00edblico-teol\u00f3gica, a partir del cual se organizan las Escuelas de Padres, con el objetivo de brindar un fundamento b\u00edblico-teol\u00f3gico que conlleve procesos de reflexi\u00f3n y pr\u00e1cticas distintas en las familias.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Los REFLEPAZ generaron una actitud una motivaci\u00f3n en los padres para poder establecer actividades pr\u00e1cticas de convivencia entre ellos, compartiendo con sus hijos, docentes, solidarios con los que necesitan, y despertaron conciencia del trabajo que realizan los equipos de trabajos del Colegio.<\/p>\n

\"\"\u00bfPor qu\u00e9 educar para la paz?\u00a0 Pueden haber muchas respuestas, y en todas estar\u00e1 presente la esperanza de vivir en armon\u00eda, de que todos tengamos las mismas oportunidades, que podamos convivir seguros, que alcancemos una vida digna y que la creaci\u00f3n entera sea protegida, tal como si de ello dependiera nuestra vida y el futuro de las generaciones.\u00a0 Educar para el cuido de la creaci\u00f3n es una tarea para la paz, cada vez nos convencemos m\u00e1s de esta realidad.\u00a0 Educamos no solo para el uso razonable de los bienes comunes, como el agua, por ejemplo, para apreciar ese don inefable de la Hermana Agua, sino tambi\u00e9n la defensa de la misma, es la lucha diaria de muchas comunidades, donde mujeres y hombres se suman para proteger su territorio, su rio, su monta\u00f1a, sus bosques. La Red Continental Cristiana por la Paz, a la cual la Iglesia Bautista Emmanuel participa, ha considerado de vital importancia para la investigaci\u00f3n y la educaci\u00f3n por la paz, comprender porque esta econom\u00eda del despojo, va destruyendo comunidades, territorios y tambi\u00e9n personas.\u00a0 \u00bfCu\u00e1l es la tarea de nuestras iglesias en estas situaciones? \u00bfC\u00f3mo entendemos la mayordom\u00eda de la creaci\u00f3n, en momentos de crisis?\u00a0 Los conflictos que vivimos hoy a causa de la depredaci\u00f3n de los bienes comunes, demanda de nosotros, una b\u00fasqueda y construcci\u00f3n de la paz.\u00a0 El acompa\u00f1amiento a los grupos vulnerables es un requerimiento de todos los d\u00edas, necesitamos tambi\u00e9n capacitarnos para hacerlo de la mejor manera.\u00a0 Educar para la paz, pasa tambi\u00e9n por la formaci\u00f3n de los l\u00edderes, como en la Escuela Misionera Pastoral, donde estaremos abordando la Pastoral Ecol\u00f3gica, pasa por la predicaci\u00f3n, los estudios b\u00edblicos, y el acompa\u00f1amiento a otros esfuerzos de iglesias, organismos y movimientos, donde la voz prof\u00e9tica de una iglesia que testifica a Jes\u00fas, est\u00e9 presente.<\/p>\n

Las experiencias vividas en El Salvador, nos muestran que las luchas cotidianas del pueblo, siguen anhelando con fe y esperanza, los diversos colores y olores de la paz, una paz con justicia.\u00a0 Am\u00e9n!<\/p>\n
