In our Global Ministries strategic direction <em>Working for Peace with Justice<\/em> we say &#8220;we affirm God&#8217;s just and peaceable realm, by living as God&#8217;s global mission church, facilitating the mobilization of God&#8217;s people as advocates for current issues.&#8221;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cSpeak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute.\u201d Proverbs 31:8<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<h3>What Can I Do?<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<div>Stay current on global issues by following\u00a0Global Ministries through our\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.globalministries.org\/join\">Weekly Updates<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/GlobalMinistries.DOC.UCC\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Facebook<\/a><\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>Use the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.globalministries.org\/advocacy_calendar\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Global Advocacy Calendar Dates and Events<\/a>\u00a0to look for opportunities to get involved and to raise awareness.<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>Speak out by joining the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ucc.org\/what-we-do\/justice-local-church-ministries\/justice\/washington-dc-office\/justice-and-peace-action-network\/\">UCC Justice and Peace Action Network<\/a>, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.disciplesjustice.net\/\">Disciples Justice Action Network<\/a>, and connecting with the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discipleshomemissions.org\/ministry-programs\/justice-advocacy-ministries\/\">Disciples Home Missions Justice and Advocacy Ministries<\/a>.
