Founded in 1872, the Taiwan Theological College and Seminary is not only Taiwan\u2019s oldest theological school but also one of the oldest and most prestigious institutions for theological education in Asia. Perched on the edge of the Yangming Mountain overlooking Taipei, the manicured campus grounds are home to an international community of students and scholars focused on pursuing the knowledge of God, and performing the ecclesiastical and social work of God\u2019s kingdom in Taiwan and abroad.<\/p>\n
The educational heritage of the college as well as its focus on rigorous, research-led teaching is well-known throughout the region. While the college acts as the teaching arm of the Presbyterian Church in Taiwan, we welcome students from a broad range of denominations and traditions. As its name suggests, the Taiwan Theological College and Seminary represents the voices of Taiwan\u2019s diverse Christians, and welcomes students from among Taiwan\u2019s indigenous tribes, as well from Mandarin-speaking and Taiwanese-speaking communities. The college offers a unique focus on local and contextual theological discovery.<\/p>\n
